DEIR EL-BALAH, Gaza: A father, mother and their six-year-old daughter were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment building in central Gaza, according to local health officials.
The victims were laid to rest during a funeral held in Deir el-Balah, where grieving relatives and residents gathered to mourn the family.
Health officials said the couple’s young son was the only survivor of the attack. He was reportedly pulled alive from the rubble and taken for medical treatment. His condition has not been officially disclosed.
The strike comes as Israeli military operations continue across the Gaza Strip, where civilians have faced repeated bombardments amid the ongoing conflict. Medical authorities in Gaza say the humanitarian situation remains dire, with many families displaced and hospitals struggling to cope with a steady influx of casualties.
