Bayern Munich has officially completed the signing of highly-rated German international defender Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt. The Bundesliga champions finalized a massive 55 million euro ($63 million) deal to secure the 23-year-old left-back on a long-term contract running until 2031. Brown, who was also eligible to represent the United States through his father, recently cemented his position in Germany’s starting XI, notably scoring a goal and providing an assist in Germany’s 7-1 World Cup tournament opener against Curaçao.
The lightning-quick defender is brought in to provide direct competition for Alphonso Davies, who has struggled with injuries on the left flank. Brown expressed immense excitement about the transfer, citing pivotal conversations with Bayern manager Vincent Kompany as a core factor behind his decision to join the club.
