PCB confirms five-match ODI tour in May 2027 as Pakistan and England gear up for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the Pakistan cricket team will tour England in May 2027 for a five-match One-Day International (ODI) series as part of preparations for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.
According to the PCB, the ODI series will provide both teams with valuable match practice ahead of the global tournament, which is scheduled to take place in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from October 4 to November 21, 2027.
Pakistan vs England ODI Series Schedule
The five-match ODI series will be played across England at the following venues:
- 1st ODI: May 15 – Southampton
- 2nd ODI: May 19 – Manchester
- 3rd ODI: May 21 – Leeds
- 4th ODI: May 23 – Chester-le-Street
- 5th ODI: May 26 – Cardiff
The series is expected to feature two of the world’s leading ODI sides as they fine-tune their squads ahead of cricket’s biggest 50-over event.
The PCB described the England tour as an important opportunity for Pakistan to test combinations, assess player form and gain experience in competitive overseas conditions before the World Cup.
England will also use the series to prepare for the tournament, making it one of the most significant bilateral ODI contests in the lead-up to the 2027 World Cup.
Pakistan currently occupy fifth place in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings, while England are ranked seventh.
With less than five months separating the series from the start of the World Cup, both teams are expected to field strong squads in a bid to build momentum before heading to Africa for the prestigious tournament.
The announcement adds another high-profile chapter to the long-standing ODI rivalry between Pakistan and England, with fans eagerly anticipating a competitive series featuring some of the world’s top cricketers.
