The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially announced the polling and administrative schedule for the upcoming by-election in the Sindh Assembly constituency PS-30 Khairpur-V. According to the electoral body’s timeline, aspiring candidates can formally file their nomination papers over a three-day window opening on July 8 and concluding on July 10. Following the completion of scrutiny and campaigning phases, official polling across the constituency is slated to take place on August 16.

The provincial assembly seat became vacant following the sad demise of the incumbent lawmaker, Naeem Kharal, who belonged to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). The ECP’s regional offices are finalizing the necessary logistical arrangements, polling station assignments, and security protocols to ensure a transparent voting process. Political parties in the region are expected to ramp up their electoral campaigns and finalize their candidate lists within the coming days to meet the fast-approaching nomination deadline.
