Following a three-day consecutive slide, gold prices in Pakistan registered a massive rebound on Thursday, July 2, 2026, tracking a sharp recovery in the international bullion market.
According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola jumped by Rs. 9,100, bringing the domestic rate to Rs. 428,736. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold recorded an increase of Rs. 7,802, closing at Rs. 367,572, while 22-karat gold was quoted at Rs. 336,953 per 10 grams. Domestic silver prices also mirrored the upward momentum, rising by Rs. 203 to settle at Rs. 6,445 per tola.
The sudden spike in local jewelry markets comes on the heels of a global rally, where spot gold surged by over 1% to trade near $4,076 per ounce (an increase of $41.90 from the previous session). Market analysts attribute the international bounce to weaker-than-expected U.S. private payroll data and a pullback in global oil prices, which have led traders to heavily anticipate potential shifts in the Federal Reserve’s interest rate trajectory.
